The Checkerboards were conducting gun training during my visit. The Marines seen in the pictures with the Humvee above were rolling out the cable and large banner. They were then attached to one of their Hornets and towed several thousand feet behind the aircraft. Other aircraft from the squadron then opened fire on the banner for a little target practice. |
